About Nancy Halevi

Dr. Nancy Halevi is a licensed Clinical Psychologist.

With over 25 years of experience working with families, as a teacher, school director, high school counselor, adjunct graduate school professor, workshop leader and therapist, Nancy Halevi brings a wealth of expertise to her work helping families, couples and individuals reach their full potential. She believes that we all, even when faced with difficult challenges, have the potential to improve our lives and enrich our feelings of happiness and well-being.

Nancy has worked and trained in a variety of settings, all with an emphasis on mental, emotional and behavioral health and well-being, including public and private schools, adolescent day treatment, state hospital, crisis hotline, and mental health service agencies. She has also taught a variety of courses to psychology graduate students, has supervised Doctoral candidates in their professional development and has been invited to sit on several dissertation committees.

She received her Doctorate (with honors) from The American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University, Hawaii, where she received the Professional Promise Award and the Award for Excellence in Clinical Practice.

Nancy's Approach

My positive approach to wellness is based on helping people develop their strengths and the belief that we all have the capacity for realizing and becoming the best version of our selves. 

Based on the theory and techniques of Emotion Focused Therapy, my approach affirms qualities and virtues that enable individuals, couples and families to thrive.

I believe that people have the potential to enrich their lives even when faced with difficult circumstances.
